CSA Services at Prague-Ruzyni Airport
The quality of services provided to passengers at Prague Airport considerably improved after the opening of the new airport terminal on the 3rd of June, 1997. This terminal aspires to provide passenger services at the very best of European standards. Besides the overall improvement of the airport environment, the extension of the number of check-in counters and use of airbridges for passenger boarding B737 and Airbus aircraft had a marked influence on the quality of CSA services.
The new terminal has been equipped with a uniform airport information system (CIS), operated by the Czech Airport Authority, which CSA utilises. CIS provides information on arrivals and departures for passengers, and in an extended form, for CSA technical units responsible for aircraft handling. The number of checked-in passengers increased by 10% as compared to 1996. Out of this, a total of 73% of all checked-in passengers selected CSA or companies which use CSA handling. In absolute numbers this represents more than 3 million passengers. CSA and handled airlines companies operation showed approximately the same share of the total number of handled aircraft arrivals and departures including transported cargo and mail. To meet customer demand and increase comfort, CSA broadened services available to passengers at the CSA business lounge at Prague-Ruzyni airport. CSA passengers using the business lounge, Airline Business Club, are now also provided with PC workplaces and the possibility of Internet access.
